Armenia's 6th Grant Competition for SME Projects

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) in Armenia has launched its 6th grant competition for financing projects related to education, science, research, and support for SMEs. This initiative, based on the “Regulation on financing education, science, research, and support projects,” offers opportunities for individuals and organizations to receive funding for relevant projects.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be legal or natural persons within micro, small, or medium entrepreneurship.
  • Projects must focus on one of the specified fields: education, science, research, or support.
  • Each applicant may submit only one project.
  • The project implementation period must be between 3 and 12 months.
  • Projects cannot receive funding from other sources, nor can ongoing or completed projects be re-financed.

Important Dates

  • Submission period: September 24, 2024, 9:00 AM to October 23, 2024, 6:00 PM.
  • Competition period: October 25, 2024 – November 25, 2024.

Project Areas and Funding

  • The maximum funding for each project is 20,000 AZN.
  • Projects must begin by December 15, 2024.

The competition encourages innovation and development within SMEs through activities such as the preparation of educational materials, organizing events for entrepreneurship promotion, and research aimed at strengthening SME production and operations. Specific focus is also placed on supporting SMEs in non-oil export sectors and innovative startups.
