Prominent corporate entities in Qatar have united to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with the goal of fostering their growth and enhancing community development. This initiative is rooted in collaboration, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit.
Spearheaded by DHL, a global leader in logistics, this effort involves partnerships with major organizations such as Microsoft, Commercial Bank Qatar, Vodafone, Workinton, Ogilvy, Seib Insurance, and Al Tamimi Law Firm. The program will be overseen by Soutien Group, a consultancy specializing in advisory services.
DHL4SMEs Initiative
The initiative, named DHL4SMEs, aims to equip SMEs in Qatar with practical guidance through various formats including webinars, podcasts, and open days. These resources are designed to provide actionable insights that address the specific challenges faced by SMEs. This hands-on approach allows businesses to implement solutions immediately.

During the launch event, Ahmed Elfangary, Country Manager for DHL Express Qatar, emphasized the collective mission to empower SMEs. He stated that these businesses are crucial for economic growth and that DHL is committed to providing valuable knowledge beyond just logistics services. Elfangary remarked, “Through the DHL4SMEs program, we aim to equip SMEs with the necessary knowledge and resources to succeed in a competitive environment. This initiative reflects our dedication to nurturing innovation among SMEs.”
According to the organizers, what sets this initiative apart is its comprehensive support system. He highlighted that while enthusiasm is high among new business owners, they often face significant challenges such as fragmented information and complex growth processes.
The DHL4SMEs program is designed to tackle these issues directly by providing essential tools and expertise. Mackie added that the initiative promotes knowledge-sharing and connects entrepreneurs with industry experts in logistics, technology, finance, and legal matters. “The program will empower SMEs with the resources they need to thrive in a fast-evolving market,” he stated.
This initiative is open to all SMEs operating in Qatar.
