Tawk WordPress Integration

You can install the Tawk.to plugin using two methods:

  1. Using a plugin (we recommend this since its less likely that you will tamper with the website code if you are not a developer)
  2. By installing the widget manually using the widget code in your tawk.to dashboard

  • Login to your website admin on WordPress, then select plugin, add new
  • On the search bar that will appear on the upper right, search “Tawk.To Live Chat” and click install now
  • Once the install is complete in a few seconds, click activate.
  • After activation, you’ll find the Tawk live chat on the wordpress settings options or the under installed options . Once you find it, click on settings.
  • Login to your Tawk account by using the logins used when signing up for the platform
  • Once you’re logged in, select your property and widget on the account settings and save the changes
  • You will be able to have the chatbot on your website!

NB – If you hadn’t set up a property, go the the tawk.to dashboard and create the new property by hovering around the highlighted area, click add new property and follow the instructions.
