At the 2024 INCLUSION·Conference on the Bund in Shanghai, MYbank, a digital bank under Ant Group, introduced its AI-enabled Cuckoo System designed to help small and micro-sized enterprises (SMEs) manage their finances more efficiently. The system leverages advanced AI to forecast cash flow, helping SMBs optimize financial management by aligning with their cash flow cycles and offering secure investment products with stable returns.
According to Feng Liang, President of MYbank, liquidity management remains a key challenge for SMEs. The Cuckoo System directly addresses this by providing tailored investment products that offer both security and stable returns, helping SMEs make the most of their idle cash. As of 2023, MYbank had already served over 53 million SMEs, and this system aims to enhance that support.
The Cuckoo System is powered by Ant Group’s BaiLing foundation model, which uses a time-series encoder to predict cash flow with an accuracy rate exceeding 95%. This enables investment management companies to more effectively manage funds, improving asset allocation efficiency by 10%. As of September 2024, the system has been adopted by 23 bank-affiliated investment management companies, with five of them using it to optimize seven SME-focused investment products.
According to a McKinsey report released at the conference, the bank-affiliated investment management market is expected to reach 50 trillion yuan by 2030, with SMEs positioned as a significant growth segment. This aligns with MYbank’s commitment to supporting the real economy through innovative digital banking solutions.
